Six hundred?
Teach checkmate first, then the opening. I'm a chess dad older than the Internet lol. At 12 a family friend did me a solid by explaining checkmate first. Then the opening. When you are going for checkmate pe4 is best way for a beginner to develop pieces quickly and then go for the checkmate. I got good at this.
Another friend an attorney was the chest book study guy for openings. I trashed his openings by going for the checkmate.
I'm impressed by this site. Finally a way to improve mid game support tools. Avoid the blunders and mistakes, weak squares and maybe trade for position for the end game. I'm excited.
I am looking for the first 4 or so moves in an opening for black to challenge e4. But mostly get the basics of good tactics.
