Rook's Indian Defence - An Unknown Superweapon
We've all heard of the King's Indian, Queen's Indian, etc., some people reading this might even play those. But you likely have never seen the almighty opening known as the Rook's Indian, which results after 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 Rg8!! (as shown in the position below).
In the position before Rg8, GM Magnus Carlsen famously resigned against GM Hans Niemann because he had calculated all other lines and realised they all fail. Unfortunately for Carlsen, the chess world had not yet known about the power of THE ROOOOOK. Now that the great Rozman has shown the world the power of the best piece on the board, I figured that now is the most suitable time to show off the secret weapon.
As everyone knows, the best way to show off an opening is to have the max level chess.com computer play the opening against Martin in a best of 5 match. If the max level computer wins, the opening is good. If Martin wins, the opening is bad.
Game 1
Maximum 1 - 0 Martin
Game 2
Maximum 2 - 0 Martin
Game 3
Maximum 3 - 0 Martin. Maximum wins. Therefore the Rook's Indian Defence is a good opening.
People always say that there is no best opening, but the above games prove that the Rook's Indian Defence is in fact the best chess opening.
