Grigory serper (@gserper) is a uzbekistan born American grandmaster. He is a top blogger, and constantly gets onto the front page of chess.com.

Born in 1969 in the ussr, aged 53, serper was first touched by chess in 1985 in the famous kasparov-botvinnik school. Since garry's birthday was on the 13th of april, and his is on the 14th of september, he took it as a good omen. That was enough for him to hit a 2522 standard rating and acquire the gm title. He still blogs for chess.com up to this day
