Akame Go Club
I went to my first Go club yesterday. Twice a month at a community center, a hand full of people gather for playing Go. My wife's co-worker's father goes to the group so that's how I found out about it.
So, I've never actually played on a 19x19 board in real time on a real board. My experience so far has been a couple 9x9 and 13x13 real-time on KGS but mostly 9x9, 13x13, and a few 19x19 via correspondence. I was very nervous. On top of my lack of experience, these people have been playing for many years...
Well, I went in and made my introductions, and stumbled my way through a few games... and I lost all of them. It's all good though, I really enjoyed going there and having the experience of playing with other people. They'd really like me to come again next time.
Well, that's my recent Go experience... I'll try to play more chess as well. But, the time management thing is what kills me though. Can't spend all my time playing games.
