I like to call a position like this a lock simply because it pins a center pawn and if the bishop is traded it can lead to knight forks.

In the position above, if the black knight takes the white bishop, the white knight recaptures and threatens to fork the opponent's rook and queen, winning 5 - 2 points. Situations, where you recapture and threaten something else, are dangerous to wary opponents.
