About Old School RuneScape

Chess.com recently introduced a limited-time crossover event with Old School RuneScape (OSRS)
, allowing players to challenge unique bots based on iconic OSRS characters.

Event Details
The event runs for a limited time in November 2025 and features five distinct bots with varying skill levels.
The bots represent several OSRS characters, including Goblin generals Bentnoze & Wartface (skill level 300), Slayer Master Vannaka (skill level 650), Bob the Cat (skill level 1350), Mahjarrat Sliske (skill level 1800), and the highly skilled Wise Old Man (skill level 3150). Players can compete against these bots and share their experiences online.

This month only, Chess.com and Jagex have teamed up to bring you five limited-edition bots, a lineup of the most famous (and infamous) characters in all of Gielinor! As Old School RuneScape fans anxiously await the Sailing update coming on November 19, take on feuding goblin generals, an expert swordsman, the cunning Mahjarrat Sliske, and more as you play your way to one of the most powerful characters in RuneScape.

Bob the Cat

Sliske
Playing strength: 1800

One of the most powerful Mahjarrats in Gielinor. Be wary of Sliske's tricks.

 

Wise Old Man
Playing strength: 3150

The power of Saradomin. The knowledge of the Library of Varrock. The Wise Old Man has mastered the game.
