Texas Amateur Round 6

Jul 10, 2011, 10:36 PM |

The first game of the fourth and final day of this long tournament. After winning both games the third day, I was feeling great and confident of achieving my goal of earning at least a half-point to finnish with an even score. I knew it would not be easy but I was ready to put up a fight. I feared fatigue could hit me at any time if I was not careful, so I did what I could to conserve energy. Stamina is very important in long tournaments.

This tournament was my first in almost two years. I was happy to be back into tournament chess. I was determined to build some momentum this round. Here is the game.
