 Chess Tactics (Forks and Skewers).

Master the Attack: How to Use Forks and Skewers in Chess
Winning at chess requires using tactics to surprise your opponent. Two of the most lethal attacking patterns are forks and skewers.

🍴 1. The Fork (Double Attack)
A fork happens when a single piece attacks two or more of your opponent's pieces at the exact same time.

The ultimate trick: The opponent can usually only save one piece, leaving the other vulnerable to capture.
Knight power: Knights are famous for forks because their "L-shaped" jump can attack powerful pieces without being captured back.
Royal fork: The most devastating fork attacks both the enemy King and Queen simultaneously.
🍢 2. The Skewer (Reverse Pin)
A skewer is a linear attack where a piece targets two enemy units lined up on the same row, column, or diagonal.

Heavy hitters first: The more valuable piece (like a King or Queen) is in the front, and a less valuable piece is hiding behind it.
Forced move: Your opponent must move the front piece out of danger to protect it.
The free prize: Once the valuable piece moves away, you freely capture the undefended piece sitting right behind it.
