No, I did not beat the computer with a stick. The task was done by a stone... the Stonewall Dutch. This specific opening gives white great attacking chances on the kingside against this machine, while it spends many moves developing and coordinating some activity on the queenside. After playing more than 200+ games trying to beat Computer Impossible by winning on time with the hippo opening with no success, I gave up that strategy and focused on checkmating the thing. Normally, I play openings that give me dynamic and open positions, but this strategy does not work well against strong computers. Keeping the position closed and attacking the king is the more practical way to go. A big thanks needs to go to RachelRima for giving me the advice and strategy beat this thing!
