How to Calculate

This blog is about "How to calculate in chess"
There are different methods of calculating.
1st method: The method I use is the Elimination method. In this method you search for some candidate moves and look at the threats and the candidate moves for you and your opponent after that move. And you should only look for a maximum in that move. In this way you look in all the candidate moves you found and eliminate each one and find the best one. This is a hard method but the strongest method in classical.
2nd method: The second method which you can use is the CCA (check, capture and attack) method. In this method you first look for the checks. And then you see if there is any good check. If there are no good checks, you look for captures. If no good captures, you go with the attacks.
In some positions there will be no good check, captures or attacks. In these situations you have to do the elimination method.

And Now go ahead, beat your opponent showing them who you are! trophies

NOTE: Also remember, never use this method when you are in time pressure or playing rapid or blitz. Only use this for classical. When you are in time pressure or playing blitz, think of logical moves, and choose the most logical move after calculating short variations (like 2 move long or 3 move long variation), for a move. Do not choose 4 or 5 moves to eliminate, choose 2 or 3 moves to eliminate. Dependent on time keep on decreasing it. If you have 30 seconds in the clock, just play the most logical move.
AND, if you are playing classical and you are not in time pressure, you can use this method to calculate opponents best move after your candidate move too.

AND,
now go and show your opponents who you are! tournamentstrophies
