How To Play The Fried Liver Like A Chef (Get it)
This blog is created by AgxChessIndo from the Strategix Universe Bloggers Team.
Hello everybody, this is my first ever blog post im excited to tell you my first ever opening that i ever learned about which is the fried liver. The fried liver is an opening that i have learned since i was around 300 Elo. This opening is a good opening that carried me from 300 Elo to 800 Elo. But past that point, everybody knows how to counter the fried liver. So i stopped playing it.
WARNING:Before we start i want to tell you the format of this blog so you don't get confused. So the format is that there is a board on top and then the explanation is below the board, not on top of the board. Please do it correctly because if not then i would be speaking nonsense! Sorry for the "strange" format! This blog will be short and fast which only features a few lines i have learned about. So let's start!
This is the best case scenario in playing the fried liver if you can see at the board we develop the knight and the bishop and try to go for a fork. The opponent block with a pawn we recapture they recapture with the knight and we do the brilliant sacrifice of the knight then the king captures and we check the King. And then the King hides in the corner. After that you can choose to take the knight with the bishop or the queen but both works as it eventually leads to mate.
If the opponent ignores our threat we just fork their queen and rook.
Here if the opponent goes back you recapture the knight and you have a winning advantage as the black king cannot castle. But the fun thing is if your opponents are low rated they can miss mate in one like shown in the board!
Here if the King tries to protect the knight we can just develop our knight and in the next move you will win your knight back.
If the opponent tries to counter attack we can just check the King black blocks with pawn we take the pawn black takes back and just move the bishop back. After that just continue your game as normal. This is actually the main line in this position.
Also one more thing i need to tell you. BEWARE OF THE TRAXLER
Here is an example game of the traxler. Here black may seem like black is falling for the fork but actually black can sacrifice the bishop. The White king takes back (im showing the scenario if you don't know this opening or just seen the traxler for the first time). And the queen can start a devastating attack on your king making you cannot castle.
I am an improving blogger. If you want please comment about things i can improve in this blog or my other blogs such as:
1.Grammar

3.More straight/deep explanation
Etc
