USCF Game 41(W): Kindred-Shelton
Round 7 was one of the most mentally taxing games because of the level of exhaustion I felt afterwards. Perhaps it was coming down from the excessive amounts of coffee I had consumed that day. Likely it was that I assumed it was going to be another draw due to opposite bishops really early in the game less than 20 moves, yet my opponent wouldn’t yield to a draw and we fought on for almost 70 moves. My opponent was Glen Shelton who was rated 1306 at the time and has a peak rating of 1739.
