USCF Game 43(W): Kindred-Green

Finally it was the 9thand last round of the World open U1400 tournament. Standing at 5 out of 8 I didn’t think I would be in the money, and if I was I thought it might be like 20 bucks or something so I was determined just to have fun in the last round. The money ended up being like $140 but I didn’t know this at the time. Often in the last rounds of tournaments that I’m not making the money in I will play uncharacteristically aggressive just for the heck of it. Normally I’m a careful counter puncher, but this round I was going to come out gunslinging and ended up with a nice victory. My opening is particularly nice, as well as the powerful move that ends matters.
