SERBIA CHESS OPEN 2021. Day 1.

Hi everyone!

I am back to OTB chess and this is my second tournament since the pandemic started. It is the 1st International Open Chess Championship of Serbia "Serbia Open 2021".

Brief information about the event: it consists of two tournaments: Masters & Amateurs. I'm playing in the Amateurs Group, since my rating is below 2000 (currently my ELO is 1993). I arrived here yesterday (July 2) - on the day of the first round. I must say that I regreted about it a lot, because I had my flight at night and I almost didn't sleep. I checked-in at 2pm and had to play the first round at 5pm. There was not that much time to have rest and get ready for the game. I felt sleepy, couldn't focus and by the end of the second time control I felt really exhasted. But all ended well. I won my game, let me show you how it was :-)

Today (July 3) we have 2 rounds. I already played the second round and won my game (but more about it in my next blog post).
