The Sicillian Defense: opening and trap
The Sicilian Defense is widely thought of as the best choice for black to start a game. The truth is that the Sicilian Defense is good but there are many traps that white can play against it.
This trap is what white can use against the Sicilian-
In the trap shown above white forces the black king away from the black queen and captures it. This gives white an active queen, an exposed black king, a better position and a five point lead over black.
If black is careful and does not fall for the trap, black will have a good position.
The Sicilian is a good opening for black in general.
