Weekly tournament blog#6 (Over the board)
Hi everyone! Welcome back to the tournament blog! Sorry for not uploading for such a long time. I didn't play chess for a long time, which is why it's incredible that I was the lowest rated in my group and won first place. OK, so my tournament was off to a bumpy start. Here's the first game.
Now, there are 2 main reasons I lost this game. #1 I am not familiar with the Queen's gambit declined. #2 I blundered my rook (Obviously)
Now, the second game was a close one!
27...f5 was not played. The reason I said it was a close one is because I blundered my knight and late in the game, my opponent blundered the bishop back. I did a lot of calculating and found that I'd checkmate before my opponent promoted. (I was white)
Game three was a smooth sail to victory
I got my last game's notation wrong, so I can't show you. But it was a smooth sail to victory, just like the last game. I remember that my opponent blundered the Queen so it was easy to win.
Alright that's all!!!@#
