Chess Facts (Part 1)

As I have said before that I am going to post a blog every month on the facts of chess . Today's blog mainly focuses on the origin of chess . Hope you like it and don't forget to share this with your friends and also you can ask your chess related questions and I will try to find the answer and tell it in the next part of chess facts.
Origin Of Chess
1. Chess is believed to have origin from india india thousands of years ago.
2. Chess came from the ancient game called" Chathuranga "
3. The word checkmate is derived from the Arabic word "sha mat " which means the king is dead.
4. The Persians called chess as "shatranj"
5. The kings didn't face each other in the game of Chathuranga.
6. The fist recorded chess game was played on 14s.
7. First tournament game which is recorded was played by the opening of Scandinavian defence
8. The queen was able to move only one square in the begining .
9. The chess is one of the most famous game of the world
10. In the Soviet union they even created a hall like thing in which everyone could play at any time.
