How to checkmate with queens and rooks
Blog is in English.
Back rank mate
You can checkmate someone in the back rank by using 2 rooks or a queen and a rook. The rooks move horizontally and vertically, only limited by the size of the board or any pieces in the way. When then the king is in the back row, move or rook or queen to the second to last row from your perspective trapping the king unless a piece is in the way - there must be no obstruction. Then move your other piece the the end of the board and checkmating them. If unobstructed to the king (I am black in the game of chess below). This can only be reversed if white captures or blocks the piece on the back row. This can work on a side or front rank, the game below is a repetition of back rank mate but you can always play it else where.
Another way
You can move your pieces where the king is in the middle of the board and with you pieces you can get closer and closer and closer to the king and when you trapped him in a row you move in your final piece to his row in order to checkmate him.
Easy mate
If you play as black and your opponent goes to a place that exposes there king.
Then pull out your queen a put them in checkmate . Kind of like this.
This is not real game.
