Hi all. So over autumn/winter last year I was gathering various Petrosian related artefacts and have recently got round to displaying them all in a deep frame (needed to be deeper than a regular photo frame because of the 2 pin badges). I never do craft/display type things and I'm really pleased with it 🙂

Details of items, clockwise from top left:

1. 1989 Tigran Petrosian Postal Stationery, Russia, Date: 17-6-1989.

2. 1963 Press Photo Armenian Grandmaster Tigran Petrosian, New World Chess Champion May 20, 1963 Houston Post (additional stamp on reverse Library of Houston Texas Feb 21, 1974).

3. Chess World Champion 1963-69 Petrosian Tigram 1982 USSR MNH postcard (featured game: Petrosian v Balashov, Moscow April 1974: p250 Shekhtman volume 2).

4. Tigran Petrosian World Chess Champion FIDE Grandmaster Soviet Pin Badge USSR.

5. World Chess Championship 1963 USSR MNH imperforated stamps (3) Mi 2763-5B.

6. Artsakh Karabakh 2019 FDC Mi 203-206 Chess Champion Tigran Petrosyan Petrosian stamps: mint, hinged, first day cover.

7. 2000 Armenian Dram note (2018).

8. World Chess Championship 1966 USSR MNH stamp (1) Mi 3225.

9. 1966 World Chess Championships in Moscow Pin Badge.

The press photo was the most expensive item but none of them were super expensive, most were relatively affordable and readily available if you look around on eBay or other places, if you like any of them, you should be able to find them (apart from the press photos though other photos are available).

Hope you all like it, anyway it makes me happy 🙂

Cheers, APF

Will mainly be blogging about Tigran (V.) Petrosian, World Champion 1963-69, as I learn more about him.
