The Chess Effect - premoving real life

Whilst planning moves in chess, you have to take your opponent's moves into account. In blitz and bullet, you get to see premoving everywhere. When premoving you have to predict your opponent's move. You can't see your opponent's move because you can only premove on their turn when they haven't moved yet. Premoving is a fundamental aspect of chess nowadays.

But have you ever wondered what happens if you apply premoving not only to chess but to your daily life? Yes, we often premove real life without realising that! Picture this: you and somebody else are engaged in a discussion. You make a remark and then you suddenly have a prediction or idea of what the other person will respond with. You then also say, "You were going to say [something], weren't you?". They say that you have "read their mind".

My personal take is that "reading somebody's mind" fully is not possible (yet...?) because we can't see the inner workings of somebody's thoughts. What is your opinion on "premoving in real life"? Let us know down in the comments!
