The Tactic That Even GM Ben Finegold Missed - Overlooking
Hey guys! AyushMChessMator here! I was playing tactics and noticed the higher risk/reward rating system - essentially you can get even 20 point for getting a very advanced tactic right. So far, I am at 2650 and got a 2904 rated tactic right. What caught my eye was that GM Ben Finegold and another IM missed the tactic.
So I challenge you to find the combination from move 2 to move 4
If you think it is easy and wonder how these strong played got it wrong. In their minds, they saw 2. Qd2 which attempts to trap the rook, rather than having a certain dominant position with a high material advantage. Stronger players overlooked this simple checking combination.
