How does the email notification works?

Hmmm...

Somehow I think the email notification isn't working as properly as it should. In my match with eric I've received two emails, but I have performed 7 moves in total.

In between I didn't log out... or is it my Firefox automatically logging in again and thereby me not realizing that I had been logged off and thereby the system detecting me not being online, therefore sending out the email?
