I Almost Beat A 2000+ Player For The First Time
I was enjoying my weekend by playing some rapid, and I played an incredible game against a random online player, with a rapid rating of 2073. My rapid rating, as you can probably guess, is a lot less then 2073. Remarkably, I played flawlessly in the opening, and according to Stockfish, I was up 5 points in the end game.
However, with little time left, I made mistake after mistake, and after 80 moves, lost in one of the best games I've played this year. I hope that sometime soon I beat a 2000+ player for the first time, and I imagine that it is a good feeling.
Enough talk, here is the game.
I'm kidding, that wasn't really the final move. My opponent checkmated me, but it would have been nice if they did play that.
I really think that if I had more time, I could have won that game. I'm really bad when I'm low on time, as you can probably see. This still has probably gone down as one of the best games of my life though. If you would like to see more of my games, just comment below.
