The Best Game of The 2018 World Championship
It has been a while. I haven't posted for several months, but I am back now. A lot has happened in the chess world. Norwegian Magnus Carlsen has defended his title once again, in a very close world championship, that went down to the tiebreaks. All twelve regular games were draws, and Carlsen dominated the faster games.
I really thought the America, Fabiano Caruana would pull it out, but it is very tough to be beat Magnus Carlsen. In my opinion, the best game of them all was game 5, so that is what I'm writing about today.
What a wonderful game! It is unfortunate that all of the regular games ended in draws! I was hoping for some excitement, because Caruana had no chance in the faster games.
Who do you think will challenge Carlsen next? Will they win? Tell me what you think in the comments. Have a nice day!
