What Is The Least Common Opening Possible?

Thanks to my friend, non chess player Baird, for sharing his strategy to win a chess game against a chess player. This sparked an idea for this blog. He said he moves his knight up, and back, up and back, and so on. Thanks Baird!

No madder if it's over the board, or the internet, we all have wild games. We've all thought "That might be the weirdest chess game ever!" Really though, it never is. In fact, there are several combinations of the first move (One move for white and one move for black) that have only happened on chess.com once. So what are those games? It is important to say that the sources for this blog are every single master game ever played on chess.com, not just any old Joe. I will start of with the single rarest first move, only played 7 times. The Sodium Attack (I just love that name.)

This is then followed by e5, and we already have a game that has only been played once.
Now, this is something that has never been played.
Quite shocking actually. However, I have done so more research. Shockingly, starting with an opening move that has been played about 880,000 times by masters, this response has only been played once.
The sad thing is these guys are masters!
This blog has been slightly short, and I was going to end it here, but I have a better idea, this is the least common first move and a half I have ever played as white. This has been played once, against bluefolder, go check out his blog. I won that game BTW.
The last thing I want to show you is the first move I have only played against once in a chess game as black.
This game I ended up losing.
Thanks for reading. As always, read this blog 3, 9, 12, or 14 thousand times but after each time, remember do go somewhere else on the site, and than read it again so I get more views. I helps me out a lot. Bye, go check out bluefolder's blog, and don't play the grob.

Welcome to Greatness. This is the most helpful, fun, and entertaining blog on the website. Spread the word, and help me on the road to top blogger!
