The Scourge of the DPCS - heyletsplay2 Blunders 3 Times in 1 Game

In this post, I will go over a game played by @qepx and @heyletsplay2. Yes, heyletsplay2 lost. Was it humiliating? Definitely. For him, of course.

 The Game:

qepx vs. heyletsplay2 (1-0)

...or watch this:

To start, heyletsplay2 plays the Scandinavian Defense - a notorious opening known for its tendencies to bring the Queen out early. User qepx decides to accept the Pawn trade, arguing that he will gain a lead in development (and he does). In my opinion, this showcases heyletsplay2's amateur behavior by choosing an opening that involves early Queen movement. As a matter of fact, heyletsplay2 moved his Queen 5 times in the first 11 moves of the game.

Now, let's analyze all of heyletsplay2's questionable moves. Surprisingly, qepx did not make any critical errors.

Firstly, 5. Qg6 is a bad move because of 6. Nf4, a natural move that qepx did play. The position is now approximately +2.7 - a clear advantage for White.

Next, 6. Qg5 adds to White's advantage and the evaluation is now around +3.3 - basically meaning that White's advantage is comparable to having an extra Bishop. White plays 7. d4, one of 2 good moves in the position.

Then, 8. Qxg2 is a greedy blunder - the advantage for White has now essentially been doubled, resting at around +7.3. It leaves the c7 Pawn undefended, meaning that White can just take it and earn a free Rook. White plays 9. Nxc7+ Kd8 and executes an Intermezzo with 10. Bf3, attacking the Queen and defending the Rook while maintaining an attack on Black's Rook.

Now, on move 12, White is just up a full Rook and has a lead in development. The advantage is now over +7.

Afterwards, 17. Bd3 simply Blunders a full Bishop to 18... Nxb4. The advantage is now about +12.

Finally, 28. Nxa2 is another greedy, careless blunder that comes at the cost of the KIng. The game ends with 30. Nc6#.

heyletsplay2 didn't even last 10 moves before making a horrible mistake. How ironic. If a player rated anywhere between 1000-1200 can destroy him in just 30 moves, what makes him think he has any right to talk anymore? Oh, that's right: he's all talk and no skill. This game lasted about as long as wood lasts in fire.

Oh, by the way, it was a Daily Game - meaning that both players had access to a private analysis board and notes. You don't get either of those in normal games. Yet, he still blundered a Rook, Bishop, and King all in one game while claiming that he was "in the top 10% of players". Although, just because it says that he is in the top 10% statistically doesn't mean that he plays like a top 10% player. You can't be like "i'M iN tHe ToP 10% oF pLaYeRs" while actually performing at potentially 3-digit ELO ranges.

And while I'm at it, I just hit 1500 Blitz yesterday (March 28, 2024) and hit 1500 Bullet today. You can compare my profile to @heyletsplay2's profile if you want and I am confident that you can see who's statistically better and characteristically better.
