It is white’s turn. He will go 1. Ka3,forcing the black king to go back to either 1… Kb6 or 1… Ka6, which, in this example, chooses 1… Ka6, as I feel more players would play that. White goes 2. Kb4, continuing the threat. Here black does not have to go back and goes 2… Kb6, and we respond by 3. a5+, preparing to force him to go back. He goes sideways by playing 3… Ka6. We finally force him to go back again by playing 4. Ka4, resulting in either a choice of 4… Ka7 or 4… Kb7. Our opponent decides to play 4… Ka7. We go 5. Kb5. He goes 5… Kb7, refusing to go backward. We go 6.a6+ , in which he responds by 6…Ka7.
We go 7.Ka5, which, for the third time, forces him to go back. He plays 7… Ka8. We now go 8. Kb6. Though we can mate faster with 8. Kc5, it makes them less suspicious of what we are about to do with 8. Kb6. They go 8… Kb8. Now we boldly go… 9. Kc5!!!!!!!! They go 9…Kh7. Then we go 10. Kd5. 10… Kxa6, 11. Kd5, 11… Kxe5, and we will win this game soon after. Time for some puzzles!
