💶 The 5 kroon note, from Estonia in 1994 and the 2000 dram note from Armenia are unique as they are the banknotes featuring chess players.

🇪🇪 On the note you can see Paul Keres, a chess player from Estonia and the Soviet Union who achieved the title of three time chess champion of the USSR. He was awarded the Grandmaster title in 1937 during Estonias period of independence. The back side of the note showcases the Hermann Castle and Ivangorod Fortress with the Narva River flowing 

🇦🇲 The Armenian banknote highlights Tigran Petrosian, a chess player with roots. He earned his title as a USSR master of sports at 18 years old. Later became a grandmaster at age 21. Tigran Petrosian held the position as world chess champion from 1963 to 1969. The reverse side of this banknote displays a monument dedicated to Tigran Petrosian along, with the Tigran Petrosian Chess House.
