Arabian Mate

First of all, the Arabian mate is a rarer kind of checkmate, but it is also one of the earliest to be first played in an official game. It fully displays the power of the knight alongside the rook, and checkmates the king in the corner. This checkmate requires the knight to be two squares diagonally from the king (during the checkmating blow) and the rook to be one file/rank next to the file/rank the king is on. The rook is the one delivering the checkmate, while the knight supports it in doing so. Below is the basic pattern of the Arabian Mate.
