A strong tournament is being played from today in Azerbaijan in memoriam of Vugar Gashimov, who passed away in January, just before the first round of the Tata tournament started. Chess world was really shoked and I tried to make my own humble tribute to him, analyzing his victory against Magnus Carlsen:

So in the first round of the tournament of this memorial we saw Carlsen playing as usual, 40-50 good moves as he says, nothing flashy, but a consistent game, improving his position move by move and finaly being mercilless in the tactical calculations. A flawless victory. The rest of the games in both A and B groups were draws.

Hoping for an exciting tournament, thanks for watching and have a nice day!
