[Results are IN!] The Danger of Exchanges

The ChessPathways.com "Tournament Challenge" has recently concluded, where I challenged our community to get out there and play a tournament and annotate their games - either Over-the-Board (OTB), or a simulated online tournament by playing several long-time-control games over the course of a weekend!

With prizes on the line, the competition was fierce. I'm pleased to announce that we'll be awarding not just one, but two winners for the challenge.

Our first winner is Graeme, aka "Geordie1974" on Chess.com. I really enjoyed his annotations and was happy to make the following Game Analysis video of a game he lost. Notice how black outplays white in the opening, but goes wrong later on by always seeking exchanges at every opportunity - a very common mistake!

I'll be announcing the second winner soon!

If you want to make sure you don't miss out on future challenges, make sure to visit ChessPathways.com and sign up - it's totally free and only takes 5 seconds. I'll even send you a free "Move by Move Guide to Chess Thinking" for joining!
