How To Be Great at Chess
You might be wondering how to perform better in chess. Whether your stuck in a hole or new to chess, these steps will help improve your game and further your knowledge in chess.
1. Use CHESSABLE.COM
Chessable.com is your guide through openings, tactics, positions, and a ton of other things essential to being able to play good chess. You can make a free account today and start learning. Personally, I study using the "short & sweet" lessons as they are not only easy to learn from, but also free.
2. Review old and famous games
By doing this, you are learning about tactics and the titled players themselves. Reviewing games from the past played by the pros is usually a great way to learn important and/or unique tactics. You can go to the "Practice" section in chess.com to study these games. (Practice section is under the "Learn" bar)
3. Just play chess!
This may not seem like a way to improve, but this is how I gained 1,000 rating. I played day after day, only learning when I lose. I also reviewed every game I played, since it's best to check what you did wrong and what you did right during the game. If you don't want to improve like this, just follow the steps above.
