Analyze Your Game Yourself Before Using an Engine

Mike Leahy sent out a "Tip of the Week" that I think bears repeating. Before you go over a game you've played with the Chess.com Game Review Engine, take the time to go over the game yourself without the engine. Try to do your own analysis first, and discover what you could have done differently. Then see what the engine says about your own analysis. Perhaps we should more accurately say that Drueke was the first American to envision mass producing American chessmen.  Alan Buschmann has collected many 19th century American stationary catalogs which sell chess and checker sets made by local craftsmen.  Here is a link to his well-researched article.
