Gladiator League, S1 Round 3 Recap
5 minutes until the horn blasted and only 7 gladiators had gathered. Some thought the hype had died, but the audience was anxious for some true fighting in this third arena. The seconds ticked by while only 7 gladiators stood by ready to fight. Suddenly one of them threw his hands up in the air and left with a grunt, the anxiety had apparently taken over and convinced him to leave.
3....2....1... The horn blared and the gates opened. The Gladiators rushed forward, few as they were. They clashed in an anticlimactic beginning of the fight. But just after the first 6 began to fight a horde of gladiators rushed through all 10 gates and a great battle ensued. The crowds went silent as they didn't expect so many fighters below. But after the initial shock the noise was overwhelming and the adrenaline kept the day afloat.
With just two gladiators, Chesskids friends came through and utterly destroyed the arena. They owned the night. But it wasn't such a clear victory right out the door. Road to GM came to the battlefield with many gladiators, hoping that sheer numbers will compromise for their lack of good swordsmanship. While this strategy did help them maintain a slight lead for the beginning, Chesskids' vast strength overpowered and came through victorious. However, Road to GM put up a good fight. Coming in third, last week's champion, Users Legends Club with half as many points as R2GM

The big question being asked now is, will anyone be able to take down the Chesskids friends? How bleak is it for the gladiators who do not show allegiance to CF? Let's look at the numbers.
Rank | Club | Score |
🏆 | 283 | |
2 | 160 | |
3 | 129 | |

5 | 58 | |
6 | 47 | |
7 | 35 | |
8 | 33 | |
9 | 23 | |
10 | 12 |
With a high score of 283, Chesskids friends is sitting 123 points ahead of second place (Users Legends Club) Is it possible for Users Legends, R2GM or possible Christian Homeschool Team to overtake them?
Well, to put it in perspective, only one other club has scored over 123 in an arena yet, and that was today where Chesskids Friends scored 141. Even if the CF fighters decide to take the day off next Saturday, their chances of walking home with the trophy is pretty high. It is very likely that Chesskids Friends will be our Season 1 Champions. At least people like Spartacus are happy, who put money on that team. The crazy part is that nobody saw this coming.
Until next week
