The Englishman Simon Webb was an International Master in over-the-board chess and a Grand Master in correspondence chess. He was well known as a "Houdini" at the chess board. He could wiggle out of bad or indeed lost positions with equal dexterity. His book "Chess For Tigers" is a classic that approaches cult status. It is a book that will benefit any club player to read. Sadly, Webb was murdered by his own son in 2005. R.I.P Maestro !
