Well i have been playing for about 4 or 5 days now. I have been reading a few books and looking at a lot of stuff online. I have developed a good opening, for the most part, focusing on getting my bishops out to control my opponent’s attempts to gain the center of the board. I found out that my uncle and brother both play more then I thought. both are rated around 1700, not great, but better then me! I have been playing a lot of email chess and seem to be able to take advantage of other mistakes, but I also make a lot of mistakes myself. So I still have a lot to work on, but i am getting better.

 I also just got a new chess set. Its a Excalibur tournament style. I found it at a local board game store.

 Any suggestions would be nice
