Improvement for the Intermediate Chess Player
This blog is dedicated to chess improvement for players on the level of 1400-2000. It's easy to just play blitz games and do nothing else. Believe me, I know... but that stops right here!
I began taking the game seriously when I was 25. It was my goal to master chess in two years but it took me till I was 36 before I reached 2200 and that was only in Bullet (or Lightening) Chess. When I was 38, I stepped away from the game and decided I wanted more out of life.
For the next several years, I did little besides indulging in women, wine, and whatever. Now, at the age of 43, I'm back to studying chess seriously so I can break out of the Class B level I'm currently stuck on.
The purpose of this blog is to make public what I'm doing to improve so that my fellow teammates on the Brooklyn Nighthawks playing in the Commercial Chess League of New York, can benefit.
