Oversights and Missed Moves

Jan 12, 2008, 11:43 PM 0

I have come to the conclusion that I would not win any games if it were not for my opponents not overlooking the next obvious move...

Of course I wouldn't lose any if it were not for my own tendency to overlook my opponents next obvious move...

Its amazing, sometimes, how the pieces will dance around each other and fail to pin the opposing King down to checkmate.  I am often at the point where I am ready to resign only to have my opponent not catch my blunder or to make a blunder of their own...

I'm begining to think that endgames are the place to begin serious study, not that I have a better feel for the rudiments of the game.
