Part 2, our story.
My name is Hughie, and my club is called "Let's talk about chess." Before I created it, I had been an admin in multiple clubs. That was enough for me. But... I soon started to wonder what it would be like to own a club.
So, I took a wild chance and started LTAC. and, it was pretty dull for the first few days. 3 people joined. nobody was active. I decided that maybe I should just be an admin and not work on my club.
But then, a very kind young woman who I will leave nameless came along and showed some interest in my club. I was so happy. I made her the co-owner. Still, nothing happened. nobody joined. Soon after though, she asked if she could invite some of her friends. I was delighted! and then... 9 of her friends joined!
I was happier than I can even tell you. 14 members. at the time, that felt like the greatest success in history.
Things got better. I got a staff of people who wanted to help. I started inviting. so did my co-owner. we started getting more members- and more popularity.
And then... the friendship started coming along. I got more friends. I began to feel loyal to the members and staff. I was realizing that I was building a thriving little community. I felt a chill of joy run down my spine. and things just kept getting better.
And, as of June 29, 2022, we have 111 members and growing. That makes me so happy. club ownership has been one of the best decisions of my life.

My story as a club owner is like anyone else's.
I started a club named "Mandos club" Because I love star wars, and it was small, and not very active. I didn't know how to do anything. But then! I met someone *not named* who showed me how to make matches and a picture and description, and from then on I re-did the whole club!
I changed its name to The Club Of Friendship, I fixed the dis (dis stands for description )
I got a great staff and it was all uphill from there. I had to figure out what made my club special. That was the hardest part of it all.
What made my club special is the community, and how we did things.
We have a vote for all new staff members, we have a lot of in-club events ( like tournaments, matches, vote chess, and well a few other things)
And it was hard, you had people who didn't agree with the rules, people who didn't like the way I ran stuff, but the important thing is, I stood up for myself. And when the members saw that, they all stood with me. They are proud of the place we created. They like how we do things, and that is what makes it all worth it. Seeing people who you have never even met before, standing up for you.
I remember there was an FM who was being a jerk and trying to bully and push me and my club around to get what he wanted. And when I told the members what had happened, they are started sending him the club chant ( we have a club chant like a football team)
And I was so happy and excited and mad all at the same time. Happy because I did the right thing and stood up for myself, excited because my friends and community members were standing by me, and mad because that FM thought that we were going to let him push us around.
It was the proudest time in all of my club owner and admin experience.
I will remember that day for years to come.
To this day people still talk about it.
As of 6-30-2022 TCOF *The Club Of Friendship* has 290 members and is 5 months old.
