Hans Niemann Sues
*note* this blog may look like I am on Magnus's side, but I am trying to stay unbiased. I am not trying to offend anyone with this blog.*
Hello everyone! Today I am talking about Hans Niemann suing, possible cheating, and what this lawsuit means for you!
Wait what?! A 19-year-old is suing chess.com and others for 100 million dollars?! Wow. This news shook the world. As If his reputation wasn't bad enough! And for another thing, Magnus's estimated net worth is only 50 Million dollars!
It's pretty crazy, right? A guy is accused of cheating, and then decides to sue! In all fairness, I would be pretty mad too if I had my name pulled through the mud, but on the other hand, HE BEAT MAGNUS AND THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD SEE! Like really man! What did you expect?! To get away with beating Magnus without drawing attention? There is no way you would be able to do that! Really though, Hans has been called some bad things over the last few weeks.
- Scum
- Scumbag
- Cheater (well, Kanda he is a cheater so.....)
- Sore loser
- Fool
And that's just a few things I've seen him being called. I'm starting to feel bad for little Hans. After all, he is a kid. Well, not really. He was crazy to think that he could possibly cheat against Magnus and get away with it.
Option!
This part of the blog has facts from
@TheDigitalArtist and myself.
Since Magnus Carlsen started accusing Hans Niemann of "cheating" on the board, nothing could add up, chess.com is also with Carlson's side due to past games on chess.com itself from Hans. Niemann had cheated in over 100 games on this website, but the problem is, no one could find to prove that Niemann was cheating, no one had hard cold evidence.
It is going to be very hard to get evidence, but not impossible.
Hans Niemann is also suing Hikaru for "repetitive" accusations against the cheating vortex of problems. It has also triggered that chess.com banned Hans Niemann for cheating in over 100 games, some for prize money.
Unbelievable! I hope he has to return that!
Niemann also confessed to cheating in the wake of the Sinquefield Cup, after the confession, he was banned for some time before being allowed to enter. During October 2022, a report started with chess.com and Niemann and he had cheated privately online, but never cheated during OTB games, he said.
Ha! You admitted it! You cheated!
Also, both sides, Magnus Carlson's side with his people, such as Hikaru and Danny Rensch, both on his side to attack the fact Niemann cheated, on Niemann's side, well I don't even know who's on his side, is trying to decline the accusation of cheating against Magnus. After all, after their game, Magnus decided to withdraw from the tournament after the loss, fuming, trying to prove that Niemann was cheating. They had to check his pockets, and x-rays and metal detectors to see if he was cheating, for extra precautions, they even checked the board and pieces to see if any type of device was there to help him.
Even though Magnus was still accusing, no one in Acer knew it would come this far, I mean, when will it end, it is going absolutely viral in the chess community. But it's just one game. Hans isn't like, cheating or anything, but this was his only perfect game, after the accusation though, he started to not play like how he played Magnus, his accuracies were getting worse, and one no knows why. Did he not want to confess this time? Is he under pressure and it puts and impacts his play? No one knows why Magnus lost, did Carlsen play badly? No one knows the true answer except the 'cheating scandal' Hans Niemann himself. And that's the truth. No one other than himself knows.
Thanks again for sharing your opinion on all of this and helping me get the facts.
PEOPLE!
I decided to talk to a few people I know and get their opinion on it.

".The tide is shifting, and I think that Magnus might have just been a sore loser after all."
I used to believe that, but now, I'm not so sure.
@Nimzo-IndianaJones said "Hans ain’t getting a dollar"
That is an option, not a fact. Just sayin'. I do disagree with you though.
@zen516 said "A quick skim through the lawsuit and it says that chess is Hans's life. He wouldn't waste his life over losing a game against Magnus. He's getting so much hate and hilariously garbage accusations as to how he cheated, and that really seems like bs.
So what if he cheated online a couple of years ago?? The online rating doesn't matter for the top GMs. He would NEVER cheat OTB and he and lots of other supporters have said it
So the lawsuit makes sense, but not really for 100 million :/"
Chess may be his life, I say after this he needs a new one. There is no way he is going to make a comeback after this. I'm sorry hans, no way it's happening.
What does this mean for you?
Very important question. Unfortunately, I don't have any information about what could/will, may happen to chess.com with all of this, but I am going to share my fears.
What if chess.com loses? Will it be closed? I don't know how much money Chess.com has but $100 million is a lot of money.
Will they make it so that making clubs will only be available to people with diamond Memberships would be very upsetting.
Will membership increase in price? Well, I believe that Hans probably won't win. But I think chess.com will have to pay him some about of money. Let's all hope that chess.com wins and won't have to pay all $100 million to Niemann.
The only thing we can do is support chess.com or Hans if you feel sorry for him.
The Game!
Let's look at the game where they think Hans cheated. As most people know on September 4th, in round 3 of the Sinquefield Cup has beat Magnus.
After that, the whole chess world was changed. I still can't believe that they think Hans cheated! You would think that there would be security to stop cheating, especially at big championships.
I've heard that Niemann is hoping Chess.com will try and settle instead of going to Cort. As long as chess.com fights this, and doesn't get scared we should all be alright.
All we can do now, Is sit and watch. As much as I hate it, that's all we can do.
