What is chess KFC?
I for one have heard of KFC in chess from good chess players, titled players, game chats, clubs, and more.
But I didn't understand what it was until I talked with my chess about it, @Casablanca , NM, a fantastic player, and my friend and mentor.
He explained it to me and it helped me get better at chess in hours!
Let me explain,
K -- K stands for King Safety. Always protect the king, and think ahead. Yes, I know, this is basic chess playing but let me finish before you make fun of me.
F --. Forcing moves like attacks or mating threats. This one helped me a lot. (It's also the reason I stopped playing bullet and started playing blitz) Because you have to take time and think.
C -- Checks/Captures. Making checks in bullet especially, and at the end of blitz (or anything) will help you set up checks.
KFC.
I also have one I made myself.
PPH.
P -- pre-move. I pre-move a lot! If you see an opening and you are sure that you know what you're opponent is doing then pre-move.
P -- pins. Pins are my favorite! My favorite pins are ones where you have a bishop and its check, and then able to take a rook.
H -- happy! Stay happy! Stay pumped up! This is very important! I have to always stay happy or u will lose. Even if you make a mistake, you have to stay happy.
That's KFC and PPH.
Special thanks to @Casablanca for inspiration.
Thanks! I hope everyone enjoys it! Please leave a review in the comments!
