Why Chess.com?
Why do you prefer Chess.com over all the other chess websites and apps?
I've only been on 2 different ones.
- Chass.com
- Lichess
Out of the two, I prefer Chess.com for several reasons.
- Daily games. I love to play Daily, unfortunately Lichess does not have the option to play Daily games.
- Clubs. Both Chess.com and Lichess have clubs or teams but Chess.com has the best club system I've seen.
- Social side. Chess.com has a much better Social side. Much better.
But what about people who are here only to play chess? I would probably say Lichess.
The way they have their website set up for chess I good. Very different from Chess.com.
PROS AND CONS
Pros:
- Very well put together and easy-to-understand website.
- Fantastic and easy-to-understand club system.
- They have many different ways to play such as different time controls and chess variance.
- Many live tournaments and daily tournaments.
- Fantastic Daily Chess system.
- Easy to navigate.
- Free lessons.
- Free puzzles.
- Very easy for anyone to sign up and play.
- There is always someone wanting to play.
Cons:
- There are a lot of ads unless you pay for a membership.
- Some glitching.
- Memberships are expensive.
- The time for support to respond and help is long.
Pros:
- They are Hyperfocused on chess.
- Not a lot of ads.
- Well, put a together and easy-to-understand website.
- They have a lot of live tournaments.
- It's very easy to make an account.
Cons:
- Memberships are expensive.
- Very bad social side.
- Takes a long time to understand the website.
- Teams are very bad and hard to understand.
- They have no way to play Daily chess.
