2020 Wyoming Open

This past weekend I had the opportunity to play in the Wyoming open in Cheyenne. This was my first OTB tournament since the MT Championship in August. The downside was that there were only 8 people in the Open section, rated from 1700-2300. The lower division had about a dozen players, including an 8 yo girl who did well. (any young child who can stair at a chess board all day amazes me!) The other downer was that I was given a bye in the final round, but I got to relax and watch my travel-mate Josh almost take down a 2200!
