2022 Sheridan Open
This past weekend I was happy to be able to attend the inaugural Sheridan Open, held at Sheridan College's Whitney Center for the Arts. This was a well attended tournament with a large prize fund that attracted 9 players over a 2000 rating, to include a GM and IM. I took a first round bye in order to drive down after my son's baseball game. I got into a bad position in game 1 and was questioning whether I was ready to play, but it worked out and I did well from there, not losing a game. For the 2nd tourney in a row, I took the most ELO points (30), but if I had converted my two winning positions, I would have gained about 85 points! I think this will happen soon. Enjoy the games!
