89th MT Open

This past weekend I finished in a two-way tie for first at the 89th MT Open in Bozeman, MT! I won this tournament one other time in 2020, a COVID-era tourney with just 16 players. This year 48 players showed up to compete. I was the 9th seed. The good news is that this qualifies me to play in my 6th MT Closed (State Championship). I have been very close to winning it twice, so I am excited to have another crack at it! This will take place in the next couple of months, most likely.

I know I have not blogged here in some time. The effort/reach ratio is well over 1, but for this tourney I'd like to share a few games with my family and friends. I will make a few comments, but won't provide much in-depth analysis. I do that later in ChessBase 17.
