Why you should never give up
In chess, we all have times when we're losing. But once we're in a losing position, it would be wrong to quit. Now of course you can save some time by resigning if your in the advanced levels and it's a obvious checkmate. But other then that, don't resign. You might still have some chances. If you're in a losing position, take a deep breath, relax, and clear your mind. You can do this by washing your face, or maybe take a short walk. Then, think about the position. Try to do create some tactics, or make your opponents position uncomfortable. You never know when they can slip. After all, we're all humans. We all make mistakes, so be on the lookout for some ways to get back to a equal position, or even a winning one.
This was played by me long ago. At move 21, I was losing, but by move 22, I was better. I blundered on move 37, 39, and 48. However, my opponent never took his chance.
This position is obviously winning for black.. right? It's his turn. But...
And white wins. Okay, this doesn't really make sense, but I'm trying to prove a point.
This position looks losing for black, right?
It's a draw!
So lesson learned, never give up. Make up tactics or make your opponent uncomfortable so they might slip and you'll reach a winning or drawn position. Thanks for viewing and bye!
