How To Defend Like A Pro
You must take your opponent into a deep, dark forest where 2 + 2 = 5, and the way out is only wide enough for one.

Hello everyone. Welcome to another blog about Defending. Defending is one of the most important skills in chess. You might say "Learning defending is so boring" but one of the best defenders so happens to be, you guessed it, Magnus Carlsen.

Defending is an art that takes time to perfect. You can't go into a game and expect to attack the whole game. Say you are attacking like that Chessable course that was 300 USD said to, and then your opponent counterattacks you, and you have no idea how to defend. This is why it is so important to learn how to defend. So we are going to look at some games with good defending in them, and then we will do some puzzles to see how much you've learned
So how do you defend like a pro? Let's take a game played by a pro, named Bojan Maksimović
Defending against Levy Rozman (AKA Gothamchess)
This is the game.
This is a perfect example of stalling. He waited around to see what has opponent wanted, and stopped it.
And now you know how to stall. Now say your playing a game and you hang a piece most of us will look for the resign button. But before you hit the button, make sure you are not completely lost, and play on.
This is a game played between two 2100.
And now time for some basic middlegame puzzles.
Puzzle 1)
puzzle 2)
And that's it. I hope you found this blog well. Be sure to follow because I post blogs often.
And remember sit goals and go for them. Keep doing Puzzles and that's it
God Bless. Peace.✌️
