Chess Trap # 1 - Noah’s ark trap

Hello friends ,

Today we are going to talk about the noah's ark trap which we can play with the black pieces against the Ry Lopez Setup.

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 This is the Ruy Lopez opening

..a6 …attacking the Bishop again

4. Ba4 b5 …attacking once again

5. Bb3 d6 …adding more support to the centralised pawn

6. d4 Nxd4 …exchange. It is important to capture with the knight.

7. Nxd4 exd4 …poison pawn

8. Qxd4 c5 … trap starts

9. Qd5 Be6 .. checkmate idea and threatening rook. Only move which saves both threats is Be6

10. Qc6+ Bd7

11. Qd5 c4 Finally trapping
