Chess Empowerment: All-Girls Nationals & Girls Only Tournament!

Hey ChessKids! We proudly stand to empower and support girls in STEM through the game of chess, partnering with Queens United and hosting numerous girls' and women's events. Read on to hear about the successful All-Girls National comeback and how to be a part of the FIDE Queens' Festival: Unrated Girls Only Tournament.


2022 All-Girls National Chess Championship

The 17th Annual KCF All-Girls National Chess Championship returned to Chicago after the pandemic canceled OTB events for two years. Despite the shift to virtual practices during social distancing, Madison, Alabama's Discovery Middle School team continued to train hard and brought home the gold at the 2022 All-Girls Nationals!

Being first-time competitors, the girls made history!

Before their first-place win at Nationals, the girls also competed in the online ChessKid USA Girls & Women Championship, winning first place in the middle school division!

FIDE & ChessKid Unrated Girls Only Tournament

Announcing the first-ever FIDE & ChessKid Unrated Girls Only Tournament! This event is part of the FIDE Queens' Festival that will take place on July 10th, 2022

Girls can compete in this FREE event for a chance to receive diplomas, trophies, AND a free year of ChessKid Gold membership!

    • Warm-Up Event (Open to All Players): July 2nd at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CEST / 8:30pm India
    • Eastern Edition: July 10th, 3am PT / 5am ET / 10am UK / 11am CEST / 2:30pm India / 7pm Sydney | Register for Eastern Edition
    • Western Edition: July 10th, 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm UK / 7pm CEST | Register for Western Edition
