It's been a busy few weeks at ChessKid. Read below to find out what's been going on in the ChessKid universe: new content, new bots, & more!

FunMasterMike vs. Tani Adewumi

Before this week, FunMasterMike had never played a match (series of games) against a famous ChessKid. This week, that changed! We had the incredible Tani Adewumi join us for a match against FunMasterMike himself. 

Tani is the former New York State K-3 champion, a published author, qualifier for the 2020 ChessKid Youth Speed Chess Championship, and all-around great story.

The match format was: 90 minutes of chess at a time control of 5+1. It also benefitted the Tani Adewumi Foundation, which seeks to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity in the game of chess. Viewers were also able to contribute to the cause.

The final score was 6.5-3.5 in favor of FunMasterMike, but this means that $350 goes to Tani's foundation on behalf of ChessKid. You can watch the full match here on the ChessKid website.

New Bots

Our development team is working hard! Although we JUST released a new design for bots, we'll be working on adding some human (and maybe non-human) personalities soon. Coming in 2021 . . .
